Manipur is presently being headed by Mr.Okram Ibobi Singh who represents Indian National Congress. He was elected as the Chief Minister of Manipur in 2012 but as per the people, he failed to provide good governance to them. The results are quite shocking to Indian National Congress because it seems that they will loose the elections even though they had been winning the state polls since last two elections. One of the major factors for this could be the fact that four of Congress Legislators resigned from the party. It is also believed that the congress is losing popularity all over the country because of the scams that were exposed while Congress was in Central Government. This can be a huge loss for Congress.
Bharatiya Janata Party is gaining a lot of popularity in the country because of the tough decisions of Mr. Narendra Modi. The decision of unearthing the black money by demonetizing the denomination of 500 and 1000 seems to have a positive impact on the public of Manipur as more and more people are coming forward to support BJP. It is believed that BJP will be able to form a government without the requirement of forming any alliance with any regional political party.
As per the survey, people believe that if Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power, the state will surely progress and there will be a lot of infrastructural development in the state. People also believe that the BJP government will be able to resolve the issues with Inner Line Permit. It is believed that the new government will be able to implement Inner Line Permit which will protect the rights of Indian people living in Manipur.
