UP Assembly Election Result 2017 Date, Assembly Wise Candidates Winning Name List

The last elections in Uttar Pradesh were held in 2012 and the elections were conquered by Samajwadi Party. The present Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is Mr. Akhilesh Yadav and he had been involved in many controversies. The Phase one of the elections was held on 11 February 2017 and the elections are going to be completed on 8 March 2017. Elections in Uttar Pradesh are held in 7 Phases. Four main political parties contesting elections in UP are Congress, Samajwadi Party, BJP, and BSP. Some of the major issues in the state are Poverty, Law and order and the caste system. The elections are being conducted for 403 seats in total.

As per India Today Axis Polls, Bharatiya Janata Party would win the maximum number of seats and this time it could be BJP’s government. But it seems like BJP would require forming an alliance with a party to come in Power. There is a possibility that BJP may form a government with help of BSP but nothing can be said until the election results are out.

Opinion Poll Results by VDP Associates

VDP Associates suggested that BJP can win with a majority in the state. As per them, the results could be a shocking reality for Congress and Samajwadi Party. The sample size used by them was of 9119 people and that was in 87 constituencies. VDP Associates also highlighted the failures of the present government which may infuse heavy losses for Akhilesh Yadav.
