Post-matriculation, Ram Jethmalani completed his law degree at an age of seventeen from S.C. Shahani Law College Karachi. Ram Jethmalani got married to Durga Devi at an age of 18. But later he married another lawyer Ratna Shahani. Ram Jethmalani is 91 years old now but he is still continuing his professional with a great zeal.
Career
Ram Jethmalani worked as a professor in Sindh during his early career days. He also started his own law firm in partnership with another senior lawyer A.K. Brohi. Post partition, Ram Jethmalani had to leave Pakistan and he decided to start his life in India. Apart from being a recognized lawyer, he also took up teaching as a profession at Government Law College, Mumbai. In 1971, Ram Jethmalani started his political career but he lost his first election from Ulhasnagar. However, a few years later Ram Jethmalani emerged as one of the prominent faces in Indian politics. Ram Jethmalani was felicitated with ‘International Jurist Award’ and ‘World Peace through Law’ award. Currently, he is Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha for Bihar.
