Anganwadi is a government organized scheme that comes under Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) programme, basically it is a social welfare scheme for children (0-6 years old) and pregnant mothers.

Under this ICDS scheme they provide below services:

  • Supplementary Nutrition
  • Immunization
  • Health Check-up
  • Referral Services
  • Pre-school Non-Formal education and
  • Nutrition & Health Education
Services* Target Group Service Providers
Supplementary Nutrition Children below 6 years: Pregnant & Lactating Mother Anganwadi Worker & Anganwadi Helper
Immunization Children below 6 years: Pregnant & Lactating Mother ANM/MO
Health Check-up Children below 6 years: Pregnant & Lactating Mother ANM/MO/AWW
Referral Services Children below 6 years: Pregnant & Lactating Mother AWW/ANM/MO
Pre-School Education Children 3-6 years AWW
Nutrition & Health Education Women (15-45 years) AWW/ANM/MO

Soon Delhi government will announce the recruitment for Anganwadi workers.

The estimated age limit for the Anganwadi workers is form 18 to 44 years old. The expected salary for the Anganwadi workers is 5000 Rs. The qualification for worker vacancy could be 12th class.
