Every year 26th January is celebrated as the Republic Day of India. It is the day when our constitution came into the force on 26th January 1950. This is one of the most important national events, which celebrated all over India; there is a gazetted holiday by government on this occasion.
Since the 1950, Indian government always invites chief guest for the republic day from other countries. In their respect they give guard of honor to the invited chief guest at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
In last year 2016 the chief guest of Republic day function was the François Hollande, President of France.
For the celebration of 68th Republic day of India 2017, our government has invited the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan from United Arab Emirates as the chief guest. This is the first time that any chief guest is coming from United Arab Emirates on Republic Day occasion.
